Project STOMP, an initiative mooted by the Queenstown YEC, commenced on 2 March 2010. Held every Tuesday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, 22 student volunteers from Queenstown Secondary School participated in this meaningful activity to mentor primary school students who are from the lower income group.

Students from Queenstown Secondary School Took Time Out in This Meaningful Activity

In Project STOMP, primary school students were given additional supplementary exercises to facilitate their learning in subjects that they are less inclined to. In order to make learning fun and interesting, crossword puzzles and pictures are also used. Beneficiaries of this initiative come from the lower income group in Queenstown. Project STOMP is an idea mooted by Queenstown Community Centre's advisory committee to arrest the falling grades of students receiving bursary awards. Youths who are interested in participating in this meaningful activity can contact us at queenstownyec@gmail.com.
